We went dark at 2AM EST, took some 3 hours. I guess it was successful.

I think VBP was moved over, but we had some issues with some DB stuff. PRO may not get moved until later today. I need to check with Eric. I was up till around 5am.

We should be up and running on the new host. Let me know about any issues.

I'm having MAJOR problems staying logged in. Looking at the level of contributions overnight I'd guess others are in the same boat?

Flushed DNS settings, cleared all cookies, tried the site using just the IP address and even tried installing a completely new browser, still having the same problems.

Not sure if it has anything to do with it but the host name of the site is different since the switch over. Originally it was pronetworks.org and now the hyphen has gone so it's pronetworks.org, all one word. Could be causing problems with the log in cookies?

Edit - It would appear that if you use any of the buttons that have the pronetworks.org address hard coded in then you get logged back out. If you just navigate the forums using the links within the phpbb template you're fine.

I'm experiencing login problem too. After taking a look at the web server's HTTP response, I think the problem is because the cookies' domain name is still set to the old one which is pronetworks.org rather than the new pronetworks.org. So the cookies are belong to pronetworks.org rather than pronetworks.org. Below is the HTTP response header for the cookies when trying to login from the new www.pronetworks.org.

Set-Cookie: pro-foru_phpbb_data=(cencored); expires=Thu, 27-Nov-2008 10:34:09 GMT; path=/forum; domain=.pronetworks.org
Set-Cookie: pro-foru_phpbb_sid=(cencored); path=/forum; domain=.pronetworks.org

EDIT:
IMO, the "why" we can still login into PROnetworks is because the URL for the login includes the session ID (sid variable). The "why" we got logged out is probably because the session ID has expired, thus we have to login again.

I've been logged in for a while now but only because I've not clicked on anything in the navigation menus at the top. The only things that work are the PM Inbox, Profile and Log Out buttons. The navigation options generated directly by phpbb (which all contain the new pronetworks.org name) all work fine, as jaelanicu says, as soon as you click anything with the old name in it, it logs you out.

Yep, they're the ones causing the problems, Graham. The "old" pronetworks.org address is hard-coded into those links.

If you use the Index/PROneTworks Forum Index link at the top left, directly above the forum you can go back to the full forum list. There's then a New Posts link on the far right, just above the Vista "Buttons" in the template along with "View your posts", "View unanswered posts" and "Recent Topics". The Recent Topics one still doesn't work, though, but it doesn't log you out. It's probably something to do with the fact that Recent Topics is a mod and it may well be pointing to the wrong place.

Oh, and the forum isn't marking topics as read, either. Again, probably a cookie issue due to the domain name change.
