Windows isn't even an option? Did you overwrite Windows by accident?

It may be that there's simply no delay set on how long to wait for the choice before it defaults, try, with lilo, holding the left shift key when going from bios to OS booting and it should show the lilo options that SUSE gave it ... I don't know how to do the equivalent with grub.
This doesn't solve the problem that SUSE may not have automatically included Windows on the menu, though, and you can fix that (as well as forcing a menu to be shown at boot) by changing the config ... which SUSE may or may not have a built in configuration tool to use.

Close, but with enough time in the process to come up with something understandable ...
As for the problem, I'm out of ideas ... and I don't have a spare system to throw suse on at the moment to figure it out.

It kinda sounds like SuSE may have just ignored the Windows installation as was posted earlier. It's not exactly the same, but the basic instructions in the Vista/Linux guide for adding Vista to GRUB should work for XP as well, as long as you're using GRUB. Not sure about lilo, but I'm guessing it's about the same. If that doesn't work, then it sounds more like you installed SuSE on top of XP.
