I have tried several different XP discs, but it doesn't finish installing windows. It says something like unable to load file, and asks if I want to try again, and that the file is not a valid Windows file and to check my disc etc Somebody shoot me

I downloaded the ISO file from Technet and have burned it at a slow speed. I have tried it burned to a CD and a DVD with the same results.
What else could be causing the problem??????
