Hey guys,
My HP DV2015NR laptop's display just went dim. I can barely see anything on the screen. What would i need to fix this?

yeah i tried that and it didn't work unfortunately. I think the backlight is out.
Would i need to replace the whole lcd if it is?

If you know how to solder, if they will sell you just the backlight, or if you can find a replacement, possibly you won't have to replace the whole thing.
By the way it may not be soldered in, but finding or getting them to sell you one may be a problem.

yeah. I was looking on ebay and i can get a new lcd for about $130. so i figured i would go that route.

make sure it has a D.O.A. warranty at least when you buy it. I am really leery about buying such things on eBay.

Well..this one seller has a 30 day warranty on them. and they sell a bunch of them
