I have a Lite-On Blu-Ray drive for my multimedia PC. I wanted a few DVDs on it, watched my first blu-ray on it and everything was going good. I got my second blu-ray (There will be blood) and it makes my computer CPU go to 100% and it studders on and off throughout the movie.

I was using onboard sound so I put a sound card in thinking the sound was too intense in the movie but that did nothing.

I then contacted netflix and had them send me a new one. The new one does the same thing.

I updated the firmware on the drive but it did nothing.

Regular DVDs still work but I don't have another blu-ray to try yet. Before I went out and rented another blu-ray, I was wondering if anyone knew why this could be happening?

What is your system setup, CPU type, graphics card, power supply size, amount of memory, etc.

AMD 4000+ with 2GB ram. Windows Vista Ultimate. Asus EN8500GT video card. Not sure about the CPU size but I am guessing 400-450w.

I have closed everything down so there is nothing else running but the dvd player and it still skips. This is including WinDVD, PowerDVD, and ArcSoft Home Theater - all of them skip with this movie.

[edit] After further investigation I found that there are some issues with this drive. I can't find anything other than the reviews on newegg. I have now contacted Lite-On to see what the deal is.
