here is a list of the files which wouldnt copy:
nvraid.sys
nvraid.inf
nvraidco.dll
nvraid.cat
nvatabus.sys
idecoi.dll

and here is a screeny of all the files on the floppy:


my motherboard is an asus p5n e sli

I was having trouble like this and it ended up being the DVD drive, do you have another drive you can try

yes i do, but all the files on the actual install cd worked fine, it was just the drivers being copied from the floppy that were the problem.

Here are my nvidia RAID 32-Bit files. Looks like you are missing a few. See if you can find them by extracting the main nvidia motherboard driver package. They should be in a folder named SATA or IDE or something like that. I don't have my AMD system up at the moment so I can't be more specific.

i tried using a different dvd drive and a different fdd, and still had the same problems.

all the files i could find on the CD where on the floppy, im downloading something from the nvidia website now, to see if its got anything helpfull in it

after spending a while googling around it turns out that using nlite or slipstreaming service packs has been known to cause this problem in the past, but its getting late and i still don't have a pc up and running, so i think i will try again in the morning.
