So I could install XP on my machine I had to change my Sata controller from RAID to IDE. Now when I try and run Vista with it set to IDE it wont load. I get the blue screen. But Xp will load if set of IDE.
If i change it to Raid vista will load but XP wont.
Please help. Im so almost there.

If that's the route you want to take then you will need to choose IDE or or RAID. You have Vista looking for RAID when it's not there.
Either keep doing what your doing or find your SATA/RAID drivers, put them on a floppy, and reformat/reinstall XP using RAID. Or you could keep IDE, then reformat/reinstall Vista.

OK. I tried loading xp first off when it was set to raid. That crashed the machine, gave me the blue screen. To even insall XP I need to have it set to IDE. Now I have found in my draw a version of windows with is a sata version, This also give me blue screen if set to raid when installing.
If I use that one. Install under IDE then change to Raid will it work?

If you install Vista under with your BIOS set to RAID, then Vista will look for RAID. Vista will not boot unless it finds the hard drive configuration it was installed on. If you must keep IDE like you say, then you need to reformat/reinstall Vista with the BIOS set to IDE.
You can not change the hard drive configuration that Windows was installed on and expect it to boot.
XP should install in a RAID setup with the drivers loaded properly.
What do you mean SATA version? Are these legal Windows disks that you bought and paid for?

Yeah its xp media centre when it started the disk name says .....sata for something like that. But still wont work No idea where to find sata drivers:S

You get the drivers from your motherboard CD or computer manufacturer. You would need to make a driver disk with a floppy disk. You may be able to use a flash drive, but I'm not sure.
If you can't do either of those things then you need to make an XP disk with the drivers slipstreamed into it.

Thats all well and good, but i cant find any XP drivers for my MOBO. Its an HP they only give you vista on there site, and my MOBO doesn't feature on the asus site.
