I saw Foreigner/Billy Squier together back in 1981 in Hartford, Ct. I can't really laugh too much since they kinda look like me and my friends. Reality bites.

Wow, I saw that tour too (in Philly). I saw Foreigner a couple of times, and lead singer Lou Gramm on a solo tour, if you want to count that. |
I wasn't really crazy about Foreigner. I liked their music but they weren't exactly on the same level as my favorites (Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Hendrix), so I really didn't think the concert would be that good. It turned out to be one of the best concerts I ever saw and I've seen just about every great band from the 70's.

Yupp!!! Same here. Of the others you mentioned, I saw Aerosmith (several times), Led Zeppelin's reunion at Live Aid in 1985 (with Jason Bonham on drums, plus both Robert Plant and Jimmy Page on solo tours), Pink Floyd (several times, plus both Roger Waters and David Gilmour on solo tours -- Gilmour's show was one of the best I ever saw and he was one of the coolest guys I ever met), and Black Sabbath with and without Ozzy (and several Ozzfests). Never got to see Hendrix.
One of those shows which turned out to be one of the best, and a great surprise, was Deep Purple. So many shows are a blur in my mind but I remember that one.
