Well, I got a copy of 4051 and decided to throw it on my laptop. My laptop specs are:
HP ze1115
1100mhz Duron
256 Meg Ram
16/32meg Savage TwisterK Vid
10/100 Via Rhine Ethernet (Built-in Combo w/56k modem)
Via Rhine Sound Card

My first impression was wow...this is a slow behemoth...I followed the "Tweaking" guide found here and it cut my page file usage from aprox. 400megs to 236 while its idle.. Not too bad all things considered. As for hardware support, everything seems to be working fine. Sound support works, power management seems to work, network is pretty nice as well... I like what they did with this stuff... Now, they just need to try and "slim" down the install, I'm looking at about 2.71gigs just for the longhorn install. Over all this isn't too bad for a release.

The install was pretty painfull though. I had to go through the hardware detect twice because it seemed to of hung on the first try.

60% Pleased so far with this version of Windows, and thats coming from a Linux user.

ps...anyone know about the software updates as of yet?

4051's hardware detection and installation is slower than 4029. Even Paul Thurrot (I think I spelled his name wrong) says that too.
