For all you Linux Guru's out there, I got a link to this site from a friend. I have burned the iso and tested it out, runs like a DREAM.

Full version of Linux with KDE, boots and runs off a CD so if you ever wanted to play with Linux without loading it over your existing OS. It is slick!

I'll go ahead and give it a shot. But from what the site indicates, it seems like Knoppix is quite similar to Lindows. That in my opinion, is a good thing.

This is a great way to test it out, It is fully configurable. I didn't check back in until just now or I woulda sent you the link Cliff sent you. You need to know how to set up your Ethernet interface to use DHCP, so I hope you are up on your command line interface commands! smile I am sure someone here can tell you how to set it up.

Weaver, have you had a chance to check it out yet???

I know practically NOTHING about command line. I have a cable modem using my ethernet card. Sounds like a learning ball coming my way. :o

WiP, not to doubt you or anything, but I am not bringint that distro anywhere near my two main machines. Together I have spent over 3 hours configuring LILO to get them to boot properly with the multitude of OS's that are running.

I am going to load in on my spare PII 450 and check it out later this evening (Friday). I'll let you know.
