I am going to a computer show at the local community college in the morning and I will be looking for a water cooling kit. Any advice would be appreciated. I saw ~Robrowe~ system and really liked it. Thanks

That tough. Personally if I were to do it I would build an internal one. Just so it makes the computer more mobile. But that's all the advice I have to offer. Make sure if you get your rig water cooled to post pics in our user rig gallery in the hardware section!

Thanks. I have been searching the internet trying to educate myself and reading reviews. Too many pros and cons. I will just have to use my better judgment and look at the quality of the parts I will be buying. I will certainly post some pics when and IF I go the water cooling route.

Yeah also do not buy the really cheap ones if there are any, price does make a difference.

Do you plan on overclocking or is it just to give the computer some silence? If you want overclocking then spend a little more money for quality. If you just want sound then don't spend a fortune, there are some beginer kits out there that aren't for real overclockers but for those who want to get their feet wet with watercooling while also having a quieter PC.

I don’t like OCing my system. I have a friend who likes to do that but swears that extra cooling devices will not make a difference. I quit taking advice from him by the way. Now I just listen to him OC his mouth. He has burned a system or two but I heard it thru other friends of his.

No, it’s not for any other reason just that I think water cooling is superior to fans.

Parts and temps achieved using water cooling do make a difference and its a whole lot more quiet! I recommend either Danger Den, Swiftech or Dtech white water products. My set up came from Danger Den. internal or external is your choise but putting everything external works better as the air getting to the radiator is fresh and cooler as well as leaving room in your case. I still have a couple of fans in my case but have them on a fan controller and you cant hear them running.

Rob, just wondering why would you have fans if you already have your pc water cooled?

Air is still needed in the case for the memory and the motherboard. I went totally fanless and saw my temps climb on my mobo temp monitor. I have one going in that is directed across my hard drives and one going out top back and of course the PSU fan but it is controlled by the psu and runs low CFMs all the time. I have both fans running about 2krpms and they are virtually silent at that speed.

I see, I spent an extra $40 on the silent Zalemens or something but I still can hear all my other fans so it was pretty much a waste. The power supply is the loudest. Gonna try to get a silent system when I get my new pc.
