I recently installed photoshop 7.0 and was wondering if anybody had could give me a few good links to help sites on understanding how to create web graphics.  thanks[/u]

try seeing if the tutorials and training links on the photoshop page are what your after. i don't think that photoshop was really made for web graphics though, that is more the specialty of fireworks from macromedia.

I've had it for a year now and I use it on the web site at work. I really like it allot. Play around with layers. Open 2 or 3 jpg's and combine them. Look at my avatar. I inserted the XP box into the penguins photo. They were looking at a Sea Lion and I put the box over the SL. Pretty cool stuff. If you look at Kanaloa's sig, you can do something like that but with your own flavor. Good luck, get creative and let's see some pics.

Can anybody tell me how to combine text and a created image together as one image. Like binding or something. Oh i have adobe photo 7

I'm very new to photoshop, but I think you open each as layers and merge them. dont have any more detail than that, as I said, I'm new to it as well.

Create the image first then insert the text on top of the image. The text will be on a separate layer.

HA  Sweetttttt your awesome It worked greaaaattttt  thanx I know I know Im a very said subject... I just got Adobe like Three days ago. Another question for you... that maybe you could answer or someone else... Say Im trying to make a button and I have a background but i don't want the background and I just want the button and when I save i want to save the button and have the image to display on the viewable area of the button and nothing else so I can use it on a web page...how do I do that?

create a new project with a transparent background and just create your button on it. when you go to put it on a web page everything will show through the background
|

Use the magic wand. Click on the colors you don't want, right click and delete or just hit the delete key.
