If you own a mobo that integrades i865 or i875 chipset you can rest assured that if you install two identical memory modules dual channel will be enabled and you'll see the speed benefit.

Thanks ginogsm you're right, I have the i865 chipset. Thanks to you I went to intel's web site and used the chipset identifier. Then I went to centon.com and used their memory configurator, after I put in all my info manufacture etc. the part number they came up with is 1g1gdualpc3200
which is duel channel.

Rommel, AIDA32 is handy always, gives all information about your system and gives some suggestions about old drivers and other programs, with possible internet links for an updates.

the program has been discontinued and site closed but there are some mirror with working links still out there. download it and keep for future use
