does anyone no how to make small animated gif's using fireworks mx, photoshop cs, or imageready cs. if not maybe a free program that can make them. if possible i would like something that isn't trial or demo to use so i could do more with it later if i wanted to without buying it.

I like Gif Movie Gear, its got alot of options and features, and they do have a 30 day trial. Check 'em out

www.gimp.org

then dl the GIMP (there are Ports for Windows and MAC afaik) and get yourself the GAP (GimpAnimationPackge). With those you can easily make animated GIFs.

Also if you have some money to spend and are looking for effectful Logos you could give Ulead Cool 3D a try.
