ok i was downloading updates from ms when it froze up, had to turn it off manually. When it restarted it gets to the xp home boot screen "xp home logo"and recycles again.it has done that 10 times now, I turned it back off. Can anyone help me?

did you try booting in safe mode or last known good config?

I have tried everything, I am trying a repair install now as we speak.....

I ran the xp cd and ran the command fixmbr, and that started to work, then it rebooted again, then I ran the cd again and rewrote the os files and that did the trick. Thanks yall.
