LINKS TO OUTSIDE FORUMS AND WEB SITES


Notice to all staff and members:

The management of PROnetworks has reviewed the policy regarding off site links in threads and signatures. These are guidelines and we reserve the right to remove any link we find not to be in the best interests of this site or its members.

What's Allowed in threads:

-Relevant links to other sites directly beneficial to the thread (other links will be removed).
-Competitor's url's when the subject directly relates to the competitor as the source (no linking to a competitors mirror thread on a basic topic unless it is beneficial to the subject matter).
-No news items (topics), or posts therein (comments), may contain links to any site other than the source itself. The only exception to this rule is that the original post may include links to other related content where the link is both relevant and beneficial to the reader.
-Links to news at outside sources are allowed unless the story has already been posted at PRO. If the story already exists on our site, the link you include in your post (regarding the story) must be made to our own thread. If we have not posted a story, you may link to the third party source. However, if and when we post the story at PRO we reserve the right to modify your link to point to our own story instead.

What's Allowed in signatures:

-Links to your favorite non-competing sites (using bb or html code, no long urls written out). A competing site is now defined as a support forum that is similar to PRO. Use good judgment here. You'll be notified if any link is not allowed. Any other site, within reason (see our rules), is allowed.

What's NOT Allowed in threads, avatars or signatures:

-Blatant Advertising for another company, product, or business.
-SPAM messages including but not limited to pornography, illegal content (warez), and hate messages.
-If a member/user owns or has personal involvement (beyond normal membership, ie: they are staff at that site) they cannot link to it.
