I have started a webpage for a small AKC CockerSpaniel breeder. it's http://orlandocockers.com
I am kinda creatively challenged but trying (if you need it welded, fabricated or built i gotcha covered..but artsy I'm not) if you check the website you will see. anyway I really need some ideas for a catchy graphic at the top of the page. (I have Photoshop CS2 and dreamweaver coming, should be here monday, not that i really know what I'm doing, but you guys got tutorial links here, so I feel confident I can do it)

TIA!!

Well ya usually can't beat a good collage
Then just add some effects to the text on it
I'm not much of an artist either but that should
add some zing to the page

well played around in CS2 and made a logo image, not to bad I guess. I can look at it and tell I mirrored part of the image, but couldn't find what I was looking for exactly.

I'm afraid of being overly critical.
First take a look at this tutorial: http://psdtuts.com/designing-tutorials/elements-of-great-web-design-the-polish/
The biggest issue is clarity, which is a topic of discussion in the tutorial. I can see a concept developing. The website is functional, but far from finished. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the work that has been put into this! The coding is not bad at all.
Just improve the design you have by adding details. Clarify the different sections and get a good looking header (take a look at http://www.istockphoto.com )
If you have any specific questions about photoshop, I'd be glad to help!
