At work and my co worker and I just thought about this.... In street fighter 2 and/or super street fighter 2 the character Guile sometimes punches straight up in the air. We think he's doing an upper cut, but it looks ridiculous.

Anyways, reenacting this around the office will generate a few laughs.

Does anyone else remember this and think his punch doesn't make any sense.

We also thought about a new version of Street Fighter for the Nintendo Wii where you have to make the punches and kicks with the Wii Mote. It might cause some injuries around bodies that were not very able. What do you think?

I'm a heavy fan of Street Fighter, and am a master since none of my friends have beaten me yet. whistle I still play CAPCOM and SNK fighting games a lot and never got bored.

Guile's crouching uppercut style might looks ridiculous, but that's his second most powerful anti-air attack. The most poweful one is of course his somersault kick move, but it takes about 3 seconds before it can be unleashed. So if an air attack is coming before that time, he'll be vulnerable. That's when his ridiculous uppercut punch is best used for. A ground attack against an air attack has greater damage if both character uses the same attack level.

Fighting games using Wii controller is rather difficult and probably will not give enough satisfaction unless a player is given 2 controllers for both hands and 2 additionals controller strapped at both of the ankles to allow you to fully control your favorite character. Compare that with only 1 controller per player.

Talking about safety, I'm more concerned about the safety of the Wii and the controllers rather than my fingers, elbows and nearby chairs & tables. smile
