She's a crazed mixed up artist but I think she has real talent smilenod

Seeing the number of awards she took at the Grammys made me look some of her stuff up to see what she's all about. What I found is way from what I expected. I must say I'm quite impressed eek

Winehouse rules Grammys

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - British pop singer Amy Winehouse, whose rapid decline into an abyss of drug abuse shocked fans last year, won five Grammy Awards on Sunday after taking a break from rehab to perform at the show from London.

Winehouse, 24, won the most awards at the ceremony. Her tally for the night included record and song of the year for her signature hit tune "Rehab," and best new artist. Hip-hop star Kanye West, who had led the field with eight nominations going into the awards, ended up with four victories.

She is good. But as a parent who wants positive role models for my kid I can't support her lifestyle choices.

Yeah, she's an adult entertainer and definetly not for the kids. Like so many talented artists she's made some big-time wrong choices as far as drugs and alcohol goes. Pity to see that talent go down the drain.

I really don't agree that she should be getting awards at the moment. Granted, the girl is talented but she's got some serious issues with drink and drugs.

A couple of her concerts last year ended prematurely when she was so drunk (or high) that she could hardly perform. On one occasion she even threatened the crowd when they began heckling her because of it. Needless to say that the unfortunate people who'd paid good money for tickets never got it refunded.

Until she's got herself sorted (and this goes for ALL artists) she shouldn't be receiving recognition. In my mind it just glorifies the whole thing. These people are supposed to be role models and it sets a bad example, IMHO.
