Let's say I have an ASUS P5E WS Professional board. That board happens to have a PCI-X slot on it... anyone know what I could do with it? The essentials are already down... video card, sound card, and a TV for the expansion slots. No need for a RAID card or anything.

i know is pci but you get pci express ones too

its a card which lets you use ram as permanent storage for those who can't be bothered/don't want to click.

Wait... PCI cards work in PCI-X? But the designs looked a tad different...

No he was saying you should be able to get one of those in PCI Express but I don't see where... but I can't think of anything else you could put in that slot at the moment. It's basically supposed to replace PCI but if you've already got the essentials covered then...
