As far as the name goes, going by the screen shot, put a check in the box next to Rename OS Entry, put the name in the box, and then click "Apply Updates". It can also be changed through the boot.ini file in XP. If you post a screen shot of your boot.ini we can show you what to change. You can always copy and paste it if you don't have enough posts.

As for the default boot, that can be changed through Startup and Recovery in System Properties while in Vista.

i have try to rename the entry in both Vistabootpro & Edit....

screen of Edit
A

but nothing change...

and we can see that it's match with the Windows Startup & recovery thing
B

i have the same error at boot (other name of windows XP and XP not default boot)

screen of boot
C

So i think my computer dont boot with the Vista boot manager (hosted on Csmile but boot or something else.... but what ? and where ??

here a Screen Shot of my HDD configuration:
D

So we can see that the C:\ is not at the first place but D:\ (XP) yes, so i guess it boot on D:\ but when i open the boot.ini (who is located in root of d:\) is not the same boot as it real or even the Vistabootpro (it yeah another boot setting sad )

boot.ini wrote:
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN /FASTDETECT

Any idea ?

thx a lot.

Open VistaBoot Pro, check the list of Operating Systems is how you want it and then go to the System Bootloader tab. Select the options to install Windows Vista Bootloader and the option "All Drives" from the System Bootloader Install Options selection. You can even select the Force Bootloader Install option at the bottom to be sure.

Then click on the Install Bootloader button and reboot, see if it makes a difference
