Wow, that is wierd, I posted that

Sorry to hear that. You get such a feeling of being victimized that stays with you for a while.
Glad you were'nt home tho, never know what that may have turned out to be.

My brothers house caught fire on friday, he was home, but cant live in it nw.
He runs a group home for a 25 yr man with mental health issues, yet the kid called 911, got his mom and cat from the basement and ran outside.
Instinct!

I hate to hear that too. All this stuff really sucks. I've been dealing with the insurance company and everything. Just a hassle more than anything! Wish i could have caught those punks, whoever did this! Had to be a couple of kids, b/c the air unit is right beside the window they got into and there is a breaker box there...well they shut it off. I guess they were thinking that, that was the for the power...dumb@$$es. I can't believe they would be even stupid enough to try it! the one time neither cars were there, it happened. my sister had picked up my truck from the airport and didn't bring it over to the house until yesterday morning. Thats when she found someone had broken in. im gonna be really ticked if i go home and its been broken into again, since they've seen everything in the house now! Sorry...had to release some frustration there. smile

Sorry to hear the news, that sucks. Best of luck with the insurance. I know that's not exactly fun by any means. Hopefully the police can offer some leads. Usually these punks do something stupid and try and sell the stuff. Or they brag about it. Let's hope they are as stupid as most criminals.

Thanks John, Hopefully they will find some trace of them. I got the insurance settled and they are sending out the check. Its just a hassle having to go out and buy all this stuff back. But at least i'm able to get it back. Hopefully this won't happen again. My buddy is supposed to come out and install the ADT system here soon.

Yes i did. Sucks that i had a $1000 deductible, but they were pretty fair on finding comparisons for the stuff that was stolen, so it ended up being enough from what i can tell. Won't actually know until i go out and buy everything. But they did say with my particular policy that if i do spend more than what they gave me for each item that i could submit the receipts and they would reimburse me the difference. So that is good.

That is good, I know replacing everything is a pain. Went through it several years ago when our house was broken into, well actually they only made it into the garage, and stole all my mechanics tools, and wheelbarrow to haul them off with.
