My Media Center PC pooped out some time back and I am trying to make a new one. I go through the install of both disks and then right before finishing it asks for XP SP2 disk. I have downloaded SP2 from my technet subscription, but in doesn't have the right file iexplorer.ex_ so I downloaded just internet explorer 6 onto a separate disk still no luck.

DUUUUUUUUUUUH another MS faux paux; When it asks for the SP2 disk it means to reinsert Disk 1, which has the SP2 files on it.

Would it have bee so hard to change it to say "please reinsert disk 1???
