i cannot get my vista to a resolution quality {1280x1024} i preferred. either as clone or extended, i have this problem with nvidia card and all available driver installed. now i am having same problem with ati on board with driver installed, completely new system. and vista/linux and xp installed
i want to a full screen on my 107 cm lcd as i use computer to do most of listening and watching. but this video out issue is discouraging me from using vista. same system, winxp works very well, i have a tv-out "clone" and a high resolution on my monitor.

I am pretty much in the same boat, only with a little smaller screen, 81 cm. Like yours it works fine with XP, but can't get it to work right with Vista.
