I attended the World Premiere of Normal on Monday night, September 10 at the Toronto International Film Festival. This Canadian entry from director and co-writer Carl Bessai boasts an ensemble cast headed by Kevin Zegers and Carrie-Anne Moss. Zegers, who grew up in Woodstock, Ontario, just outside Toronto, has no less than three films having World Premieres at this year's festival.

Normal was the darkest film we saw this year, and we've chosen it as #3 on our list of Top Picks from the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival.

Bessai brought the cast up to introduce the film. They took to the stage afterward for a Q&A. Also see our video.
